Robert Stephensons "Planet" comes to Carrog.
A replica of Robert Stephenson's 1830 loco Planet has been sitting in Carrog station sidings.
Shooting was due to take place on Tuesday 20th August 2013 using this engine and period coaches for the Mike Leigh film Mr Turner.
The film was released on 31.10.2014.
This working replica was built in 1992 by the Friends of the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in Manchester, and is operated by volunteers to provide rides for visitors. When not in steam the locomotive is on display in the museum's Power Hall. Planet has visited several other Heritage railways including Shildon Locomotion Museum.
Berwyn Station Master Ben Jackson is on hand to assist his son Matthew who looks after the engine.
Departing for a test run to the end of the siding.
A very atmospheric looking view from the footplate.
Tuesday and another chance for more pictures.
